On-line managed warehouse
DCIx WMS is a system for on-line management of logistical activities in distribution centre or production company warehouses. A detailed evidence is kept not only for the flow of material but even logistics employees. Everything is monitored and managed in real-time with a simple control ability. Users and companies gain totally accurate information on actual inventory levels, reduced labour intensity in record maintenance, better utilisation of warehouse and production space, reduced handling costs, reduced inventory levels and faster stock transactions.
The system uses automatic identification using either labels with a barcode or RFID tags. Users are equipped and connected to the system with mobile hand-held terminals with label or tag readers, and foremen and dispatchers access the system through their computer. Stock in the warehouse – each handling unit is marked with a barcode label. Stock positions and places are marked in the same way. Warehouse operations are recorded in real-time on the terminals and the system checks accuracy of the recorded movements. Storemen are directed to the correct stock positions and their route is optimised.
