Ewals Cargo makes its customer services more effective

Ewals Cargo Care is going to increase the quality of its logistics services with the DCI MySite warehouse management system

Pilsen, November 25, 2008 - The Slovak branch of the global provider of logistics services - Ewals Cargo Care is starting a project of implementation of the DCI MySite warehouse management system by the Aimtec Company, the leading supplier of information technologies (controlled warehousing and logistics) in the Middle-European market. The modern and dynamic warehouse management solution enables the Ewals Cargo Care Company to achieve an effective and error-free run of logistics processes in its material warehouse.

Ewals Cargo Care is a transportation and logistics company with a tradition of over 100 years. This significant Dutch provider of logistics services has its representations in 18 countries, especially in the European countries, and also in Japan and China. It provides transportation services, as well as storage and goods handling services to its customers coming mainly from the automotive, electrotechnic and packaging industries, as well as manufacturers of consumer electronics.

The Slovak branch of Ewals Cargo Care has its seta in Bratislava. Among its prominent customers count, for example, Johnson Controls International, Inergy Automotive Systems Slovakia, IAC Group Slovakia, Trim Leader, IKEA and Osram. The branch has decided to perfect and increase the quality of its logistics services with aid of state-of-the-art technology tools. Hence, it was looking for an information system that would be capable of supporting and managing all logistics processing - from receipt and placement in storage to material issue to production of its customers. Finally, Ewals Cargo Care selected Aimtec as the system supplier, a company that has rich experience with the implementation of warehouse management systems for the purposes of logistics management with leading logistics and manufacturing businesses.

In Ewals Cargo Car, the Aimtec Company implements its own product - the DCI MySite warehouse management system, which uses the unambiguous bar code identification technology. The aim of the solution is to record material receipts to warehouse, to support label printing, controlled placement in material warehouse, as well as material issue to picking zone, from where the material is transported to the customers´ assembly lines. It is self-evident that the solution supports the FIFO method and the cycle on-line stocktaking.

The new system implementation project in Ewals Cargo Care starts in mid November this year, live operation commencement is planned for the beginning of February 2009. Recording of returnable containers is being considered as a future follow-up project.
